Sean currently acts in the capacity of Group Managing Director and co-owner of TMD Insurance Group, and has been involved in the family business since September 1988. He is responsible for the overall strategic management of the group companies and its major client accounts. Sean has been a Member of The Chartered Management Institute since 2015 – holding a MCMI Qualification in Management and Leadership. He strives to create a professional yet personal culture within the business, which is supported through all tiers of the group. In his spare time, Sean likes to socialise and spend time with his family.

James has worked for TMD Insurance Group for twelve years. Having gained his Advanced Diploma in Insurance and becoming an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute (ACII), James has recently achieved the status of Individual Chartered Broker. Chartered status is a symbol of technical competence and signifies a public commitment to professional standards. Having also achieved Corporate Chartered status as a company, James’s Individual Chartered status reinforces our commitment to best practice, ongoing continuous development and protecting our clients’ best interests. James also holds an Economics degree and a Higher Diploma in Business Studies.

Darren Gowers Cert CII

Motor Trade Manager

Darren was considering going to college from school but was offered an interview with Co-Op Insurance Services and liked what he heard. Darren started work here in 1987 as an Underwriting Assistant, leaving in 1989. He then moved to NLIG as a Personal Lines Adviser. In 1991, Darren started to deal with Commercial policies at NLIG with a focus on the Motor Trade. With a customer-centric approach, Darren ensures he puts his clients first, building long-term relationships with them and insurance partners to achieve the best possible results. Darren likes to visit the majority of his new and existing clients every year to ensure that he fully understands their business and cover requirements.

Christine began her insurance career in 1984 as a Junior Accounts Clerk. Today, as Credit Control Manager, Christine ensures clients are offered the most suitable and relevant advice on settling premiums, encouraging strong communication between the team and clients to ensure that any potential issues are quickly identified. As an accounts team, TMD have over 60 years of combined experience, helping customers with all of their insurance finance needs.
